A habit may be looked at as a specific thought, behavior or way of doing something that was acquired by repetition or by reinforcement from self and/or others. In short a habit is patterned thinking. Patterned thinking results in similar or same actions often leaving Managers wondering, “Why do they do that?” Patterns become well grooved. Some habits are helpful like brushing your teeth, making your bed. Simple day to day stuff.
Some patterns like missing deadlines, not engaging in meaningful conversation, procrastination, not contributing in meetings and many more cause department productivity to stall. continue reading
Looking Into Vision
Do you ever spend time with your Vision? I took time today to further develop very clearly, my Vision. What I found different this time around was the ability to work images into the Vision. It is said that a Picture is worth a thousand words. It is true.
There is a house that I like very much. Not one that you might see in the paper, or laid out in some article like Better Homes and Gardens. It is one of Thomas Kincades paintings entitled “Gardens Beyond Spring Gate.” The Estate is nestled up on a slight hill, and although it is a very large home, the lighting speaks to me of warmth, comfort, and expansiveness. continue reading
